Portland, Oregon Food! PIne State Biscuits and Voodoo donuts!

Pine State Biscuits, Portland, Oregon
I had the Reggie: fried chicken, bacon and cheese, topped with gravy!!  Yummy!  Yummy!
Hello friends,
How are you today?  Jule and I headed over to Portland, Oregon.  Jule's visa was about to expire in a few days so we have to do Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington in 4 days.  We decided that we would only have time to be in Portland overnight so we definitely chose well.

On our way up, we stopped at Blue Star Memorial Highway to take a few minutes and check out the view.

I am all about good food so I discovered the most delicious biscuit stop that I have ever had!  If you ever go to Portland, you must go here!  On a weekday, the line was out the door!  The place is small with only two tables and a row of bar seating.  It's a first come, first serve basis on seats and everyone seemed to know the drill.  We were lucky enough to share seats with a group of people.

This place was actually featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network and this is definitely a unique pit stop that you cannot miss!  The food is so affordable.  All the biscuits range from a regular biscuit $1.50 to the seared flank steak with blue cheese biscuit for $8!!

After speaking with about 5 different people, they said you cannot leave Portland without visiting Voodoo doughnuts.  Jule and I had to figure out what the big deal was about these sweet treats!

Voodoo is known for their unusual flavored doughnuts, unique names and interesting flavors.

This place must be good because the place was filled with people and we were backed up all the way to the door!

The original Voo Doo Doughnut location was closed for remodeling so luckily there was a second store!

Cock N' Balls doughnut is one of the most popular doughnuts ordered there.  It's one of their most expensive doughnuts at $8.  This is cock n'balls shaped doughnut is triple filled with bavarian creme and covered in chocolate.
